Messy data is a shared challenge among archives and museum databases regardless of size or access to resources. Due to the sheer volume of data as well as the lack of shared functionality across Collections Management Systems (CMS), it can be difficult to find any recommendations for where to begin. No matter what type of collection you have or CMS you have in place, this webinar will offer practical advice for how to craft a data cleanup plan that works for you. We’ll review common data issues, identify priority cleanup areas, and offer instruction on plan creation. Note: This webinar complements our previous Collection Data Cleanup playlist available on Relicura’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Relicura.
