Submit Questions Ahead of Time!

Session Abstract

Digital collections are growing at an exponential rate, yet the nature of digital is more fragile than that of many of the physical materials in our collections–especially paper. Digital precarity is rampant as it is highly susceptible to piracy, corruption, and loss. At the same time, many cultural institutions struggle to prioritize funds for building a stronger digital infrastructure. “Stop, Look, Think: How to Manage Digital Vulnerabilities,” emerged as one of the The Center for the Future of Museums’ TrendsWatch trend for 2025 and outlines both challenges and recommendations for the road ahead. In this webinar Relicura’s Founder + Director (Rachael Woody) will present a summary of the trend, offer her expert insight into all things digital, and deliver pragmatic strategies for spotting digital susceptibilities and building digital resilience.
