Community Care | We Get It

Nov 17, 2025

There’s a lot going on this month. The stories we covered are heavy, and maybe they left you feeling that familiar mix of anger and exhaustion. We get it

While we continue our work to protect archives and artifacts, it always helps to protect some space for ourselves, too. Here’s what’s been keeping us grounded lately:

→ Listen: Novocaine to the Brain

For the days when the news cycle won’t stop spinning, this playlist feels like a reset button. It’s moody, cinematic, and just the right kind of defiant.

When everything feels like a bit too much, Rachael finds calm in curating playlists. You can listen along on Spotify, thanks to Relicura’s The Moment editor Erika Fitzgerald, who pulled together the songs that have been keeping us steady.

Or build your own version wherever you stream music:

  • Fantastic by King Princess
  • Spitting Off the Edge of the World by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
  • With You by ItsArius & Dinia
  • Bottom of the Deep Blue Se by MISSIO
  • 8 Legged Dreams by Unlike Pluto
  • Afraid to Love by Vandelux
  • Numb by Elderbrook
  • Sing to Me by MISSIO & Death Stranding: Timefall
  • Iron by Woodkid
  • Undisclosed Desires by Muse
  • Go Steady by Tender
  • Punkrocker by Teddybears
  • Mirror by Mogli

Think of it as background music for tuning out the noise until your breath catches up.

→ Watch: Interview with the Vampire

AMC’s reimagined Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac as he recounts his life story to a journalist. The interview in and of itself is a living archive through oral history. Across two seasons, the series blends confession with a pouring through of the du Lac archives. It reminds us that every collection tells a story. The question is always: who gets to tell it?

And if nothing else, take a break. Step away. Breathe. The work will still be here when you come back.
